This print is a high resolution digital scan at a 1:1 scale of a woven study for Folded Letter O, the tapestry that Hernmarck will be producing during her residency at the Museum. The design is based on the letter O as it appears on traditional maritime signal flags. Hernmarck created a watercolor of the flag’s design that she folded, and the resulting tapestry captures the nuances of the watercolor, including the raised folds on the paper.
